If you have lost someone to suicide, you don't have to navigate your grief alone. Join CareFirstNY, in partnership with the Steuben County Suicide Prevention Coalition, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, and our community partners, for this special annual gathering for International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day. This day offers an opportunity to connect with others who understand, honor the people we carry in our hearts, and explore healing at your own pace. Together, we'll create space for remembrance, reflection, shared experiences, and hope. The event will include: - Short films and facilitated discussions exploring the healing journey after suicide loss - Paint and Heal activity—a creative guided painting session offering space for reflection and expression - Remembrance slideshow and music to honor loved ones - Brunch and connection with others who understand the experience of suicide loss - Grief support resources to take home and explore at your own pace - Grounding and guided meditation to begin and close our time together Whether you feel ready to share your story or simply want to be in a space with others who understand, you are welcome here. There is no right or wrong way to grieve, and you are welcome to participate in whatever way feels comfortable for you. You are not alone. Your grief matters. Your healing matters.
