Join CareFirstNY in partnership with the Watkins Glen Public Library for a day of FREE activities designed to support children, teens, and families who are coping with grief and loss. Through stories, crafts, games, and connection, participants will have the opportunity to explore healing in a welcoming and supportive environment. ACTIVITIES INCLUDE: Storytime with Miss Aliyah 10 AM-10:30 AM We'll read “My Forever Guardian” by Kristina Bingham Jones, a comforting children’s book that helps young readers process the loss of a loved one. Craft Time with Mr. Ric 10:30 AM-11:30 AM Families can stay after the story for craft time where children will create a special keepsake inspired by the book. All supplies and instruction will be provided. Family Carnival 11:30 AM-1 PM In the early afternoon, families of all ages are invited to enjoy a fun-filled Family Carnival featuring games, prizes, face painting, a fishing pond, balloon pop, bean bag toss, and more.
